🧑‍💻📈 - Why YOU need Artificial Intelligence in YOUR business...

How Artificial Intelligence is relevant to you.

Introduction

It’s a simple question really, and one a lot of tech savvy people (including myself) would be quick to answer with enthusiasm, but I don’t think the message of why YOU need AI needs to be bogged down with unnecessary technicalities.

You’ll likely notice my capitalisation of YOU, that’s because this newsletter is for digital professionals and companies who want to understand AI and optimise accordingly.

Why do you need AI?

I think the easiest way to answer this is by explaining the BOOM of AI.

In a TED talk in September of 2022, Andrew Ng stated “I think that we can build a much richer society if we can enable everyone to help to write the future.” I don’t think even he realised just how right he was.

Only two short months later, ChatGPT was released. It brought with it arguably the most monumental shift in the AI landscape. By the end of 2023 the global Artificial Intelligence market size was valued at 196.63 billion dollars.

It’s one of, if not the, biggest and fastest-growing fields out there right now and put simply, if you’re not involved you’re missing out.

And THAT is why I think that YOU need AI, because I think everyone does; it’s truly an opportunity like no other.

Examples of AI in Action

AI is proving to be a game-changer not just for giants like Amazon and Netflix, but also for small to medium businesses keen on improving customer experience, automating tasks and expanding their current offering.

For example, Lambda Films, a video production company in London, were able to fill the gap of a concept designer by using AI generating image technology. Tools like Midjourney allowed the owner of this business to match the efficiency of larger corporations by using AI to bolster his operations. Using this AI tool he was able to capture sales he may not have been able to by quickly providing concept designs in his proposals. What about a different example from a business coaching consultancy? Taleist Agency leverages AI to enhance its customer engagement and marketing strategies. AI tools ensure every client is included on their mailing list. They also help in tagging subscribers to different customer profiles, enabling more targeted and effective marketing efforts.

Most importantly, AI identifies the agency's highest value customers, ensuring that their needs are met. This strategic use of AI streamlines operations and also significantly boosts customer satisfaction and business growth. (https://www.prospa.com/blog/7-ways-small-businesses-are-using-ai)

While AI definitely has its necessary considerations which I will discuss in future newsletters, I prefer to see the glass as half full - brimming with potential for smarter solutions.
